Boiler Maintenance Plan
Your boiler works hard every single winter, and Ontario winters don't give it a break. A boiler that isn't regularly serviced doesn't just become less reliable — it becomes less efficient, costs more to run, and can fail at the worst possible moment. That's why Constant Home Comfort offers a comprehensive Boiler Maintenance Plan designed to keep your system operating safely, cleanly, and at peak efficiency all year round. Replacing a boiler is one of the largest home comfort expenses a family will face. Regular maintenance is one of the most effective ways to delay that cost — and to make sure that when the time does come, you're replacing it on your terms, not because of an emergency on a February night.
Why Annual Boiler Maintenance Matters

Boilers that are 10 to 15 years old can be significantly less efficient than newer models, and even well-maintained units gradually lose performance without periodic professional attention. A clean, properly tuned boiler doesn't have to work as hard to heat your home, which translates directly into lower energy bills. The savings from running an efficient system typically outweigh the cost of a maintenance visit many times over across the course of a heating season.

Beyond efficiency, there are important safety reasons to keep up with annual inspections. Boilers rely on combustion and pressurized water systems that must be checked regularly by a licensed technician. Issues like heat exchanger cracks, blocked venting, or pressure problems can go undetected without a proper inspection — and left unaddressed, they become both costly and potentially dangerous.

What Our Boiler Maintenance Inspection Covers

When a Constant Home Comfort technician arrives for your boiler maintenance visit, they conduct a thorough, multi-point inspection of the entire system — not just a quick look-over. Our licensed technicians take the time to properly assess every critical component so you receive an honest, complete picture of your boiler's health and what, if anything, requires attention.

A typical inspection includes the following:

  • A full inspection of the heat exchanger to check for cracks, corrosion, or blockages that could affect performance or safety
  • A review of all electrical connections, wiring, and control settings to ensure the system is operating within proper parameters
  • An examination of the air inlet and vent terminations to confirm safe combustion and proper exhaust
  • A check of all joints, pipes, and connections to identify any signs of leaks, wear, or corrosion
  • A review of operating pressures and temperature settings to confirm the boiler is running efficiently
  • A combustion analysis to assess burner performance and fuel efficiency
  • A safety inspection of all controls, including pressure relief valves and limit switches
  • An overall assessment of the system's condition, lifespan, and any recommended next steps

After the inspection, you'll receive a clear report on the state of your equipment — whether it needs attention, minor adjustment, or is in good shape. There are no vague findings and no pressure. Just honest information so you can make informed decisions about your home.

Parts & Labour Coverage — Peace of Mind Built In

One of the most common concerns homeowners have about maintenance visits is the fear of a technician finishing the inspection only to hand over a large bill for parts and labour. We hear this all the time, and we built our maintenance plan to address it directly.

Constant Home Comfort's maintenance plan includes a Parts & Labour element, giving you protection against unexpected repair costs on top of the annual inspection. You won't be left wondering what a repair is going to cost — you'll have coverage in place before the technician even arrives.

This is particularly valuable for homeowners who own their boiler and don't have a separate protection or warranty program in place. Rather than managing the risk of unpredictable repair bills on your own, the maintenance plan rolls inspection and repair protection into a single, low monthly cost paid through pre-authorized payment.

Simple, Affordable Monthly Pricing

Our maintenance plan is structured as an easy monthly payment — no large annual bill, no surprise invoices. Billing is handled through a pre-authorized payment (void cheque) or through your Enbridge account, so it runs automatically in the background with no effort on your part.

Current pricing starts at $9.99/month + HST — and if you purchase a new boiler and sign up immediately, you may qualify for an early bird discount of $8.99/month + HST for the first 12 months, after which the rate returns to the standard monthly amount. Pricing is subject to change; contact us for the most current offers.

A boiler inspection is also available as a one-time service. We currently offer a GTA Special of $119 for a top-rated boiler inspection (regularly $149) — a cost-effective way to get a professional assessment if you're not yet on a plan.

Who Should Be on a Maintenance Plan?

The maintenance plan is a strong fit for homeowners who own their boiler — whether newly purchased or several years old — and want the confidence of knowing it is properly looked after each year. It's especially valuable if your boiler is past the midpoint of its expected lifespan, if you're noticing uneven heating, rising energy bills, or unusual noises, or simply if you want to take a proactive approach to home care rather than a reactive one.

If you rent your boiler through Constant Home Comfort's rental program, parts and labour repairs are already included in your rental agreement with no additional plan required. But for homeowners who have purchased their equipment outright — or inherited a boiler when buying their home — a maintenance plan is one of the smartest investments you can make in your heating system's longevity.
