Energy Star Rebates
The $2 billion Low Carbon Economy Fund (LCEF) is an important part of the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change (the Framework).
The Fund supports the Framework by leveraging investments in projects that will:
- reduce greenhouse gas emissions
- help meet or exceed Canada’s Paris Agreement commitments
- generate clean growth
Energy Savings Rebate for Ontarian Homeowners
From a portion of Ontario’s allocation through the Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund, the Energy Savings Rebate program will allow Ontario retailers to offer rebates on the purchase of approved energy efficient products. The Energy Savings Rebate program supports point of sale rebates* for energy efficiency products in Ontario.
The new program will help Ontarians reduce energy use, save money, and address climate change.
*For a limited time, the Government of Canada is providing up to 25% off certain eligible ENERGY STAR® products sold in-store to Ontarian residents. Maximum $500 off per eligible item, not icluding tankless water heaters and ductless mini split ACs which qualify for up to $1,000 per unit.
