Power Vent Gas Water Heater

These high-performance power vent gas water heaters are designed with advanced safety features to help prevent the ignition of flammable vapors outside the unit. Vapors from substances such as aerosol sprays, cleaning solvents, gasoline, paints, paint thinner, and lacquer thinner are detected and managed to reduce the risk of ignition.

The unit uses a power vent system that allows exhaust gases to be vented directly through the roof or an exterior wall, eliminating the need for a traditional chimney. These water heaters are available in 40, 50, and 60 US gallon capacities and are designed for use with natural gas or propane, making them suitable for a wide range of residential installations.

For improved energy efficiency, the tank is insulated with a thick, uniform blanket of GREENFOAM® water-blown foam insulation, an eco-friendly insulation material that helps reduce heat loss. The inner tank is lined with blue cobalt glass enriched with zircon, providing excellent corrosion resistance and extending the lifespan of the water heater.

The system is equipped with an INTELLI-VENT™ gas control valve, which provides advanced gas control and improved system diagnostics. It also includes a silicon nitride igniter for reliable ignition and a flammable vapor sensor that enhances safety by detecting potentially dangerous vapors.

Performance is further improved with an adjustable power venter and a low NOx burner, which helps reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. The water heater also incorporates the patented POWER TWIST® baffle, designed to improve heat transfer and increase overall efficiency.

The unit includes automatic temperature control for maintaining consistent hot water temperatures and a roll-around base for easier positioning during installation.

Additional features include factory-installed dielectric nipples to help reduce corrosion at plumbing connections, a factory-installed temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve for safety, and a high-quality magnesium anode rod that helps protect the tank from corrosion. The unit also includes a tamper-resistant one-piece brass drain valve, designed for durability and ease of maintenance.
